The Dot Experience is opening October 2026

ABILITY Magazine: Redefining Global Museum Inclusivity

The American Printing House for the Blind is preparing to open the doors to The Dot Experience, a facility spanning approximately 28,000 to 30,000 square feet designed to be the world’s most inclusive museum.  Located at the APH headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, the initiative marks a significant expansion of the organization’s mission, which has served the educational needs of blind and low-vision children since 1885. Jo Haas, the Chief Operating Officer of APH, and Cynthia Torp, the CEO of the design and build firm Solid Light, Inc., are spearheading the project to create a public space that serves as a catalyst for conversations regarding disability, barriers and human-centric storytelling.
