School Programming
Scheduled to open on October 30, 2026, The Dot Experience is American Printing House’s (APH) new hands-on museum experience that combines interactive exhibits, educational
programming, and a behind-the-scenes factory tour. Designed to inspire curiosity and
understanding, The Dot Experience helps students explore accessibility, innovation, inclusion, and the power of diverse perspectives.
Working toward a world that welcomes everyone, students and educators will discover how accessibility shapes everyday life and why inclusive design benefits us all.
While we prepare to open, we’re bringing these experiences directly to schools and community groups. Our outreach programs provide engaging, hands-on learning opportunities that encourage students to think differently, ask questions, and explore the importance of accessibility and inclusion in their own communities.
Programs
Our educational programs are designed to engage students through interactive activities, discussion, exploration, and hands-on learning experiences. Each program encourages curiosity while helping students develop empathy, understanding, and awareness.
Students will:
● Explore accessibility and inclusive design concepts
● Discover how people who are blind or low vision navigate the world
● Learn about innovation, problem-solving, and assistive technology
● Understand real-world challenges and opportunities
● Develop a deeper appreciation for diverse perspectives
Through these experiences, students are encouraged to become future advocates for accessibility, inclusion and positive change.
Who Can Participate
Our programs are designed for schools, homeschool groups, youth organizations, libraries, camps, after-school programs and community groups.
Activities can be adapted for different ages and learning environments to create meaningful and engaging experiences for every participant. All are welcome!
